What is a B&B ... I found that the accommodation very good. However, the rate is incorrect on website and then was emailed asking for more money after paid deposit.
The room was of a good standard but DID NOT have a TV or tea making facilities as per a normal hotel/guest ...

Description - Bed and breakfast

Ann & David Russell completed the building of Greenfields house in 2003. The neo-georgian design blends naturally with the local north Cork landscape. The tranquil setting of the house, with views over the meadows and mountain hills, is conveniently located just outside the historic village of Kildorrery, which is on the Mallow to Mitchelstown road.

The house has four large and beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, each with stunning views over the surrounding meadows that give the house its name. Gourmet breakfasts, in the delightful Dining Room, are included in the terms. Evening meals by arrangement.

Kildorrery (Cill-Dairbhre, meaning 'Church of the Oaks'), is a typical Irish cross-roads village, boasting 5 bars, one of which offers food. There are a number of general shops, a garage, and a church. The village is understated and charming. It is a centre for Mountain walking, Fly and Coarse fishing, Clay Pigeon and Game Shooting, and of course Golf. Mitchelstown 18 hole championship and Doneraille 9 hole both offer day membership.

For the walkers or amblers, a gentle stroll in any direction will uncover the history of the area. From a very well preserved Mass Rock to the ruins of Bowens Court and chapel. A 10 minute drive to Glanworth and you can explore a Megalithic Tomb, a Castle and an Abbey.
